Join our team at The Balcony Garden® and our innovative sister company, Slugg®, as our new Social Media Coordinator. We are redefining the garden pot industry with design-focused and premium-quality products.

The Balcony Garden® is a renowned supplier of designer pots and planters, partnering with leading architects, interior designers, and landscape professionals across Australia.

Since its launch in Australia in 2021 and subsequent expansion to the USA in April of this year, Slugg® has been transforming spaces with its uniquely designed garden pots, sold in sets of three.

Job Summary:

As a Social Media Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in our marketing team, working under the guidance of the Marketing Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to manage, execute, and enhance the social media presence for both The Balcony Garden® and Slugg®. This role requires a dynamic and creative professional eager to take charge of our social media strategies and help our brands grow.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the social media content plan with the aim of increasing brand awareness and customer engagement
  • Execute content across all social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest & TikTok). This includes creating video content and copy in line with the brand values and marketing plan
  • Monitoring and responding to customer feedback, comments and social media posts within a set timeframe
  • Comment on other industry-related accounts
  • Monitor, assess and make recommendations around emerging social media trends relevant to our business
  • Reporting on analytics and using the findings to adapt
  • Put forward ideas and suggestions for improvements such as strategy, content and copy
  • Supports all additional miscellaneous, social-related special projects and tasks
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and digital technologies

Requirements

  • Experience managing successful campaigns across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Tiktok
  • The ability to write engaging copy that aligns with our brand image
  • The ability to format artwork to suit each platform's individual requirements
  • Experience using a social media management/scheduling tool such as Later
  • Has experience using Canva and video editing software such as CapCut or Premier Pro
  • The ability to breakdown analytics and provide performance reports
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Strong content creation skills
  • A positive can-do attitude, have a keen eye for detail, have initiative and be proactive
  • Experience with paid social media is a bonus!
