Nestled in Melbourne's inner eastern suburbs, 'Kinkora' is a stunning blend of a renovated Edwardian residence and a contemporary Mediterranean garden designed by JLLA. The front garden respects the traditional streetscape, while the rear garden transforms into a modern outdoor oasis, complete with a swimming pool, spa, sauna, bathroom, and lawn terrace—perfect for sophisticated outdoor living.

JLLA's design thoughtfully integrates an in-ground swimming pool alongside a new underground garage. The pool features a tiered design, with a wet-deck spa at one end, nestled beneath a semi-open steel pergola. Water cascades gently from the spa, creating a serene ambience complemented by mid-grey tiles that lend the water a natural turquoise hue.

The garden embraces a contemporary Mediterranean theme, with potted pine-nut and citrus trees, palms, bottle trees, and sun-loving perennials. Three mature olive trees, surrounded by prostrate rosemary, divide the pool area from the lawn. They stand tall in raised planters that were expertly positioned using a crane.

To add depth and interest, clusters of white pots filled with a variety of textured, green plants stand out against the jet-black sauna, bathroom, and fencing, bringing the entire space together in a harmonious blend of form and function.
