Finding plants that will not only survive, but actually thrive on a balcony or rooftop with a hot sunny aspect may be difficult but it’s not impossible. You need to look at where the plant is originally from. Plants from Mexico, Central America, Canary Islands and Australian Natives are often perfectly suited to the conditions on a hot windy balcony or rooftop. Here are a few of our favourites:
