Interior Trends Update

Sydney siders today are tending to stay put and make their slice of the Sydney real estate market the best it can possibly be.  From small additions to concept, design and construction here are a few of the latest interior trends that will help you along the way!!

Colour Watch out French Navy, as Emerald Green is quickly taking over as the new ‘IT’ colour of the season. Used in a feature chair or smaller soft furnishings as an accent colour it adds depth to a space and brings the outdoors in. Green is also being introduced through the use of indoor plants, which is currently a popular trend. A splash of greenery instantly lifts a space and makes a room feel fresh and welcoming. Terracotta Old School materials like Terracotta will be making a come back in the form of pots which is something we are currently working on. Stayed tuned!!  For those who are renovating why not consider Terracotta for inside the home. Terracotta is such a rich, earthy and inviting material that can bring warmth to any space. Avoid terracotta tiles in a gloss finish and stick with a matte finish which will give your room a natural edge.     **Tiles ** Our go to friend, the subway tile has been reinvented and replaced with long slender shaped tiles. You’ll start seeing new layout combinations, such as experimenting with horizontal or vertical rows creating a uniformed stacked look.   Statement Furniture This season you will see the rise of dark and rich statement colored pieces of furniture and joinery.  Using a statement piece of furniture in your home can liven up a space and create a point of difference. Try to keep the rest of the space neutral so your statement piece can pop.   Images Courtesy of Studio McGee & Amber Interiors
